Skipping Rope Games:
One of the best ways to get your children exercising, having fun, and learning, all at the same time, is with skipping rope games. Banana Split or Jump Rope Math, a fun, maths game in which children must answer maths questions and jump the answer out, are both fun or see if you can recall the games from your childhood playground memories. Museum Virtual Tours:
Museums from across the globe have opened up their collections; The Natural History Museum in London offers an online tour narrated by David Attenborough. The museum is set out like a google map and is easy to navigate. You can follow a blue whale’s life cycle, explore the most recent exhibitions and even see the collections not normally open to visitors. Our tutors have been loving showing their younger students around the museum online and teaching them as they peruse!
Board games can be a great way to get your children engaged in discussion, strategy, and fun! Games such as Risk, Monopoly, and Cluedo all engage your child intellectually, whilst also being a great way to get all the family together! Many of these games can now be played online whether it’s word games such as Scrabble or Boggle or strategy games such as Risk or Monopoly you can download the app and play as a family or with friends remotely.
TED talks are a great way to introduce your children to ideas beyond the classroom. There are 100’s to choose from and they can last anything from 10 minutes to an hour. A rainy afternoon inside? The perfect time for an educational TED talk! Here are a couple of our favourites:
